Help us help you quickly
- Your Jira site address, like
yourcompany.atlassian.net - The report's name, or its link (Share → Copy link)
- What you expected to see, and what you saw instead. A screenshot helps.
"No issues found"
The report's source matched nothing you can see. Check the query in the left panel (Issues from), and whether you can open those projects in Jira. Live reports only show what Jira lets the person looking see.
"This source has more than … issues"
Reports show up to 50,000 issues on a paid plan, and 5,000 on the free plan. Narrow the source: fewer projects, a shorter period (updated >= -90d), or only open issues (statusCategory != Done).
History says "too big"
The report's message says which limit it reached and how to fix it:
- Too many issues: history adds up to 50,000 issues. Narrow the source.
- Too many groups: a day's history must fit in about 700 KB. Group by fewer things, or by fields with fewer values (for example, by epic rather than by issue).
- Too slow to build: a report's history gets up to four 15-minute runs a day on a paid plan (one on a trial). Narrow the source, or turn off "Include child issues".
History tries again when the report is saved, or a week later.
History shows "Restricted issue", or fewer projects than the live report
History is taken once a day for everyone, then filtered for each person: they see only the projects they can see in full, and names of issues from other projects show as "Restricted issue". Issues with a security level are never kept in history. Live mode shows exactly what Jira lets you see.
Time in status is blank or lower than expected
- Time in status counts working hours by default: the site's working days and hours (Jira settings → Apps → Roll-up Reports), or the report's own (Advanced → Working hours).
- An issue counts only for the statuses it has actually been in, starting from its creation.
Export is greyed out
A Jira admin has set exports to "Only people who can edit a report can export it". Ask the report's owner to add you as an editor, or ask an admin.
A report's owner left the company
Their reports pass to the site's chosen owner (Jira settings → Apps → Roll-up Reports). If none is set, they show "Owner left" and a Jira admin can reassign them from the same page.
Reporting a security problem
Email support@rollupreports.app with "Security" in the subject. Security reports go to the front of the queue.
